I'm looking to get echo on my R/Me and I was wondering if a Mesmer elite tome will work. I'm not sure because a friend told me it only works on your primary profession.

Yes it will work, as long as you have Echo unlocked on your account. Next time you have a question, please post it in the Questions & Answers forum.
